PLUS: Butchering is About To Get Easier
Hello, fellow nerds š§
If youāre a legend and still rockinā the Xbox 360 life, a) we applaud your God tier dedication and b) the Xbox 360 store is closing for good.
Now you have until July 29th to buy any games, DLC, trials, or what have you until then. But after that date, any non-backwards compatible games will be gone forever into a digital black hole. But thanks to the internet, a fellow Xbox 360 legend has created a spreadsheet listing every game that is not backwards compatible and all the DLC pertaining to that game. Not all heroes wear capes.
Hereās the daily quests in AI to complete today:

Deepfakes Could Completely Replace Politicians
So hereās some fruit for thought: Would you ever vote for a completely fake digital politician if it held your beliefs like any other politician out there?
Ukraineās actually been testing this, and have officially āhiredā an actual AI spokesperson, Victoriya Shi, for their Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Take a look:
The entire conversation of politics aside, this Victoriya looks 100% real. I mean, I had no red flags watching this.
Which begs the question, are we going to be seeing more AI politicians and spokespersons in the future? 100% yes, without a doubt.
Now to answer the question presented earlier: Would you ever vote for a completely fake digital politician if it held your beliefs like any other politician out there?
You know what, I actually think I would.
I totally get why that may seem completely out of left field, but hear me out. Whatād be the actual difference? Outside of in person rallies on the campaign trails, when do we actually see the people we voted for? And if Iām being completely honest, most politicians seem kinda fake anyway. Completely robotic responses, lack of empathy, and egos that halt progress, do I think an AI could do better? Yup, I definitely do.
Thereās the skeptic in me that argues if itād actually be any better. Would an AI truly want whatās best for the people, or would it fall prey to the world of politics and only want to further its own agenda? Thatād be a fine line to walk, but I still lean on an AIās side over a politicians.
Yes, I may very well be in the minority here, but man, if that video shows a glimpse of the future, which I for sure think it does, Iām penciling in an AI candidate for the upcoming election. Itās surely a better option than what weāve got, right?
Butchering Is About To Get Easier
During COVID-19, there were multiple lapses in the food industry supply chain which heavily relies on human precision for animal processing.
Did you know Tyson Foods processes approximately 40 million chickens a week?
Food suppliers have long dreamed of automation but even 1% of increased waste kills profit margins. After all, 1/3 of an ounce doesnāt sound like much waste but 1/3 ounce times 40 million chickens? Thatās 833,000 pounds of wasted chicken.
One of the most automated portions of poultry processing is removing the thigh bone. Itās so good, in fact, that it has less waste than its human counterparts.
Although automation is coming, beef and pork, have much higher variability in the size of animals produced. So the butcherās ability to judge how to handle an animal is that of instincts and practice.
The exponential growth of AI and computer vision will eventually replace those workers too, but itāll be a hot minute before companies will be willing to put their profit margins on the line to test automated systems.
āļø Throwback Thursday
A little blast from the past.
When you think of online gaming, whatās the first console you think of? Xbox, maybe?
How about a PlayStation with a mobile phone adapter to tap into its i-mode protocol (mobile network).

Pretty wild, isnāt it? Sony developed this back in 2001 and released one of the very first iterations of online gaming, but it was apparently exclusive to Japan.
Whatās interesting is there were definitely plans to expand, but they ended up shelving the development because the GOAT (PlayStation 2) was ripping up the market, and broadband connections were becoming a thing.
Side note, can you imagine the phone bill these phone users mustāve been slapped with? Probably enough to bankrupt a small countryā¦
