Hello, fellow nerds 🧙

Welcome to Monday! Definitely not the most dreaded day of the week at all. Thankfully, you’ve got us to give you a pure five minutes of AI heaven to start your day. And boy, we gotta say, Drake has just unleashed an AI filled Pandora’s box on the music industry…

Drake’s Officially Welcomed AI to The Music Industry

Never did we ever think music artists were going to embrace AI this soon, let alone Drake. But boy the world is sure full of surprises.

Drake just dropped his new track “Taylor Made Freestyle”, which is apparently a diss track aimed at Kendrick Lamar. Now, we’re not really interested in any of the beef going on between those two. That’s not really our business. But what’s really got us hyped is the AI vocals of the legendary Tupac and Snoop Dogg in this song.

Take a listen for yourself:

If we never said anything, could you tell the verses from Tupac and Snoop Dogg were both AI generated?

Sure, the AI vocals seemed just a smidge off, maybe a little “tinny” compared to when Drake started rapping, but holy hell. It was damn near indistinguishable.

And who knows, maybe Drake generated his lyrics, too. Honestly, we would never know. It makes us think the future of music and AI is gonna collide into one beautiful linguistic soup that’ll give you complete freedom to take whatever song you want and have it sung by whoever your favorite artist is. True fandom, and all it would take is one simple prompt. If our magic eight ball prediction is true, we can’t fricken wait.

Windows AI Copilot Invades PC’s Everywhere

Latest Microsoft Windows update incorporates their version of Siri and Alexa seamlessly.

The previous Microsoft AI assistant of sorts, Cortana, didn’t really go anywhere…

But, Copilot is more promising. Why?

  • AI is more generally accepted, 180+ million users for ChatGPT

  • NLP (Natural Language Processing) allows anyone who can ask a question to get answers easily

  • Use the latest Open AI LLM (Large Language Model), ChatGPT-4, for free via Copilot

  • Preinstalled via Desktop - simple, non intrusive, partial screen UI (User Interface) which is seamlessly built into Windows PC’s via bottom right notification area

  • Preinstalled via Laptop - a new Copilot key, similar to the Windows key on a keyboard, allows users to access Copilot instantly

A few simple use cases we use at The Daily XP for Copilot:

  1. 👍️ Title Capitalization - should is be capitalized in a title? You betcha. Would we have known it without https://capitalizemytitle.com? Yeah, but it would’ve taken a lot more time than just using this tool.

  2. 👎️ Convert File Type - .webp to .png - for a simple file conversion, Copilot sh*t the bed and told us it can’t give a response.

  3. 👍️ Sentence Thesaurus - to avoid being too repetitive, asking Copilot to reword a sentence is helpful. “What is another way to say…”

  4. 👍️ Google Killer - we are hardcore believers in the access to free information. After all, we can learn almost anything if we just “Google it” so as we’re learning how to play Escape from Tarkov (crazy, right?) we put it to the test… The results? Pretty great. It gave me three options. Although two were identical, they were exactly what I was looking for.

Access Copilot via the colorful icon in the bottom right

Copilot is currently in beta mode but Microsoft will surely tweak it based on how people use it everyday.

As with any new technology, AI is slowly being introduced into our lives and as we become more accustomed to it, our habits and workflows will gradually change. As long as Microsoft provides value and makes it easier and easier to use Copilot, it has potential in the long run.

🤣 Meme Monday

It’s Monday, we all need a little laugh…

Ya know, history repeats itself…

Daily Delight

Just something fun and interesting around the web.

We forget sometimes how fast technology innovation accelerates. To put that into perspective, this Macintosh Plus and Apple Vision Pro are 40 years apart 🤯

What’s happening inside the Realm

A list of side quests to explore and more.
  • 👀 OpenAI was tasked with letting SORA use its imagination to show what TED talks would look like in 40 years. The results didn’t disappoint.

  • 🤖 The competition to release the greatest humanoid robot just keeps heating up. Mentee Robotics just released MenteeBot, and is looking to be the next robot you buy for your home.

  • 🍎 Apple is planning to run their own home brewed LLM locally across their Apple devices instead of the cloud, which would give users much more privacy and LLM speed compared to their competitors.

  • ☕️ A coffee shop in Finland has developed a new artisanal blend of coffee thanks to the helping hand their of their creative AI barista.

That’s all the quests we have for today. Check back tomorrow for more!
