🤯 EMO is about to blow your mind

Google Gemini’s new motto: “Prepare for trouble. And make it double.” After the image generator fiasco, users have discovered a new problem within the crumbling chatbot.

For Android users, Gemini suddenly forgot how to ID songs. Now I’m no rocket scientist, but I thought that tech’s been locked down since the early 2000’s. Well, you know what they say, Google Gemini blasts off, again!

Here’s the daily quests in AI to complete today:

For real… the world is going EMO.

EMO (Emote Portrait Alive) by Alibaba Group is a new Generative AI model that creates expressive (hence emo) portrait videos using a single image and whatever audio you want to create a completely animated and true-to-life video.

Sit down. Please.

Okay… that was fun, cool, and a little scary, no?

So how does it work?

Step 1: Upload an image file and an audio file.

Voila. You’ve just created a video the same length as the audio file.

1 image + Audio = Video

What’s so special about these videos?

AI is improving at an exponential rate. We used to be able to quickly distinguish a real video from a fake video, but now, well, every little detail counts.

As you saw, here’s what this model does wonderfully:

• Lip Sync

• Emotional Cues (eyebrows, breathing, blinking)

• Body movements (facial, neck, shoulders)

• Hair movement

Now why does it matter?

Let’s get personal. One of my biggest pet peeves is to watch a movie that is dubbed. Why? Because the lip sync is completely off. It drives me a little nuts.

That’s why, I’m excited for EMO. I (should) never have to watch terrible out of sync dubs again! 🤞

So, now what?

To be honest… shit kinda got real. Our advice? Take everything on the internet with a grain of salt. Even as an optimist, it’s time to put on a baby tin foil hat and take off the rose-colored glasses.

Then again, I wouldn’t be surprised if Swifties everywhere were to unite and combine forces to combat AI simply to ensure Taylor Swift is never misrepresented in the world again.

The movie industry just got flipped, turned upside down.

For better or worse, who's to say, but the barrier to entry to create a movie looks slim to none thanks to LTX Studios dropping the mic.
