... and Finally… Tesla Exaggeration or Delight?
Hello, fellow nerds 🧙
Today’s the day where we all get to witness an epic total solar eclipse happen. So get your sunglasses ready ya filthy animals and go touch some grass because this isn’t gonna bless our eyes in the US for another 20 years.
P.S. Please don't look directly at the eclipse. We’d be devastated if you went blind and couldn’t read The Daily XP ever again…
Here’s the daily quests in AI to complete today:

The “Shroud” of Product Design Partners with OpenAI
Straight up, we might be witnessing the birth of something revolutionary in the AI hardware game. Renowned Apple product designer Jony Ive and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman are teaming up on a top-secret project to develop a new kind of AI device.
If you’re unfamiliar with Ive’s work, here’s just a snippet of his design genius:
AirPods
Apple Watch
iPad
MacBook Air
iPhone
iPod
So let’s just say this guy is a fuckin’ legend in this space.
Now from what we're hearing, these two tech heavyweights have been spitballing ideas for some kind of home AI gadget that isn't trying to compete with smartphones. They're aiming for something completely unique in how we interact with artificial intelligence.
The details are still pretty scarce, but we know Ive's legendary design chops are being paired with OpenAI's cutting-edge AI software wizardry. There are also whispers that the current outgoing Apple VP of iPhone and watch design is joining the party, too.
So, what exactly could this mystery device be? Your guess is as good as ours at this point. Some of the rumor mills are speculating it could be like an "iPhone of AI" that revolutionizes how we use AI assistants. But Altman himself has downplayed any comparisons to phones.
Whatever it turns out to be, you can bet your ass this Ive-Altman collaboration is going to be a game-changer if they can pull it off. Needless to say, we’re fangirling out hardcore for this.
🙌 Finally… Tesla Exaggeration or Delight?
For years, it’s felt like good ol’ Tesla has been on the back burner while competitors have been struggling to keep up. As Tesla ramped up production capabilities and increased efficiencies, it’s been a bit boring around here.
At least until the announcement of Musk’s wildest dream… the RoboTaxi. A fleet of fully autonomous vehicles that could serve as self-driving rideshare taxis. He’s been hyping up the idea for years, but now there is an official launch date of August 8th.
Well, it’s about damn time, Elon. Supposedly it’s better late than never.
But delivering on that promise is another story altogether. Skeptics are already questioning whether Tesla can pull off true autonomous driving capabilities anytime soon. Regulators will definitely be scrutinizing the RoboTaxi project with a magnifying glass too. The pressure's on Musk to assure everyone this isn't just another overambitious pipe dream.
Still, you can't fault Tesla for swinging for the fences on autonomous transportation.
We're talking about potentially revolutionizing ridesharing and private vehicle ownership as we know it. If they can get this RoboTaxi thing off the ground, it would be a paradigm shift… like how League of Legends flipped the industry’s typical gaming business model on its head.
Of course, Tesla's stock has been bouncing around like a ping pong ball amid the rumors of shifting priorities. And investors will be watching this unveiling very closely to see if betting big on RoboTaxis over doubling down on more affordable EVs is the right play.
We vote, RoboTaxi’s for everyone, go forth and conquer! And let’s be honest, he could play it safe, but he wouldn’t be Elon if he wasn’t pushing some buttons, we mean, boundaries.

Just something fun and interesting around the web.
How far generative AI has come in the editing space in the last few years is just bananas. This probably only took the creator 5 minutes to make…
