We say the future is here a lot around these parts, but Dear Lord, we’re truly living in it now. OpenAI’s frequently brings glimpses of the future to the palm of our hands, and boy they’ve done it again. It begins with their newest voice AI model GPT-4o—which basically brings Samantha from the movie “Her” into the real world. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, just give this trailer a peek.

Now, when I say Samantha is here, hooooooly shit - this is no joke. GPT-4o is a true to form AI assistant that can seamlessly fit into your life. Something that AI had to evolve into so the average person could find a use for it.

And here it is, evolved… well I’ll be dipped. The possibilities with GPT-4o are endless.

Personal tutor for all ages

The world is already feeling the impact of GPT-4o, especially the language translation sector. Take a look at Duolingo for example. This was just minutes after 4o was dropped.

This new voice AI model is legit the future, I’m telling you now. I’ve never gotten goosebumps like this from ANY AI model to drop since we first saw GPT-3. I mean, think about it. Starting now, every person who has access to internet can have a knock off Scarlet Johannson—the actor who voice Samantha in “Her”— in their pocket guiding them through the world. All for the price of free.

And this is the worst 4o is ever going to be. Which is just freaking mind bottling to think about.
