PLUS: OpenAI's Stealing Google’s Lunch Money
Hello, fellow nerds 🧙
Apple never fails to drop a keynote with a bang and this one was no exception. They’re getting backlash like you wouldn’t believe… or at least we couldn’t.
Maybe they should’ve added the disclaimer: No creative tools were harmed in the making of this video.
But you’ve gotta watch the commercial to see it for yourself.
Here’s the daily quests in AI to complete today:

Tony Stark Style Robotic Rifle Dogs Are The Future of Warfare
The Marine Special Ops are testing our robotic four-legged friends for everything from intelligence, perimeter security and inspecting tight, sketchy situations remotely.
The concept of using dogs in warfare isn’t new. Their keen sense of smell and incredible training has helped us with dangerous ops since 1942.
But now, with remote weapons systems (RWS) integrated into these furless animals, weapons can be deployed remotely while its operator is nowhere to be found.
Remotely controlled they say? It’s looking a lot like a video game with a steam deck.
With names like Onyx Industries and Ghost Robotics, it’s feeling a lot like an Ironman movie up in here.
These companies are showing off their robotic demos and describing them as though they were a fancy vehicle.
Mid-sized
High-endurance
Agile
Durable
All-weather
Before long, warfare could be entirely handled by robotic AI armies and we believe it’s closer than you think.

OpenAI is About to Steal Google’s Lunch Money
It seems every AI company wants to go after Papa Google’s throat these days. I mean, there’s only 8.5 million searches on Google a day, so why not try and get a piece of some of that delicious search pie?
Well, that’s exactly what OpenAI is thinking.
It seems that OpenAI is about to launch its own brand of search engine "SearchGPT", internally called "Sonic", which will offer:
Traditional text based search
An image search
Widgets like sports and weather
Follow-up prompts
Think Perplexity.ai but run by OpenAI instead. I’m not sure if that’ll make a huge difference, but word on the street is we’ll be seeing SearchGPT in the wild by May 13th—Which also happens to be a day before Google’s giant AI dev conference. Coincidence? Oh, without a doubt.
Now thanks to the cracked web developer Tibor Blaho, here’s a leaked version of SearchGPT at work:
⌛️ Throwback Thursday
A little blast from the past.
Recently I’ve been on a hardcore nostalgic kick for some classic PlayStation games that I grew up on. We’re talkin’ Killzone, Resistance, and some Ratchet and Clank.
But there’s just one giant problem. Little ol’ me doesn’t have any PlayStation consoles anymore. Once my toes dipped into PC waters, I sold them so I could build my own rig.
So what’s a guy with a gaming PC and access to the internet do? Well, what any PC/console fan would: find an emulator and start downloading my favorite games. Now is this highly frowned upon? Well, perhaps. But we don’t need to go there.
Now unbeknownst to me, there’s a giant subreddit dedicated to emulators and finding games for whatever console your gamer heart desires—except anything newer than the PS3/Xbox 360 era. Maybe in a few years when the next gen hits?
🤗 Daily Delight
Just something fun and interesting around the web.
Ah, don’t you love the feeling of democracy in the morning? You can just smell it in the air. It’s contagious, and boy do I love to see it spread to other gaming communities.
There’s a hardcore group of Halo Infinite players who decided to take on the role of freedom upon their back, and create a beautiful tribute to their fellow Helldivers. They call it, “Helljumpers”.
What’s happening inside the Realm
A list of side quests to explore and more.
🤥 OpenAI’s been caught red handed after they deleted the training data they used to train ChatGPT 3.5, and coincidentally, they fired the employees who created the data.
🏥 There’s a game specifically created for AI’s called “Agent Hospital” that allows AI agents to treat thousands of sim patients a day and the results are wild.
🤝 Microsoft must be bffs with some US spies because they’ve just created a generative AI service specifically for them.
🧬The world of science is getting a huge buff from AI, as we can now identify damn near every single “life molecule” known to man.
That’s all the quests we have for today. Check back tomorrow for more!
