Old Games Are About to Get The Facelift They Deserve

Have you ever tried to go back and play your favorite game from your childhood? The nostalgia comes rushing over you, but quickly you realize, “damn, what the hell are these graphics??”

See, at the time the graphics were top tier. But boy times have changed. The boxy character models and splotchy level design are long gone. Our eyes have been spoiled by life like graphics and movie quality cutscenes for quite some time now. Going back to a classic game, charm aside, it almost makes my eyes bleed honestly.

Well, thankfully the world of image upscaling is about to change that completely. And apparently video games could be experiencing a modern remaster renaissance in the next couple of years 🤞 

At least that’s what the ex CEO of Stable Diffusion believes. Check it out:

Two Bites, One Apple… OpenAI and Google

It’s not cheating if they’re both okay with it, amiright?!? Rumors of an AI drop on Apple devices have been whispered and screamed for months but it all comes to a head as an agreement is drawn with OpenAI for ChatGPT.

Like most young men, that doesn’t mean the other options are closed… ba dum tss. Google is still courting with Gemini and Apple is playing hard to get. There are definitely more dates in their future but who cares unless Apple gives in?

Ever since Apple blew up Project Titan, its secret electric vehicle project, they’ve been struggling to catch up with all of the other big dogs in the AI race. Technically speaking, building an autonomous vehicle is sure to have advanced their AI capabilities without them actually stating they’ve been working on AI.

However, no one cares unless they actually implement it into their flagship products like the iPhone, iPad, or Macs.

“We believe we have advantages that will differentiate us in this new era,” says CEO, Tim Cook.
