... and Robot Teaches Another Robot to Beat IKEA
Hello, fellow nerds 🧙
AI is a marketing team’s wet dream 🤯
Turns out, if an AI has access to some of your background info, it has an 81.7% higher chance of persuading you to agree with its opinion. Seems a little suspect, but it’s true. If we had to guess, Darth Vader would’ve loved having ChatGPT to turn Luke to the dark side…
Here’s the daily quests in AI to complete today:

OpenAI Just Dropped the First Short Film Entirely Made by AI
So we mentioned yesterday that Sora would have its very own red carpet moment and boy oh boy, they did just that.
OpenAI just peeled back the curtain and gave us all a sneak peek at some of the creative works Sora’s been cookin’ up.
But from what we saw, there’s really only one video that takes the cake.
So without further ado, ladies and gents, OpenAI presents:
“Air Head” by Shy Kids — The first short film made by Sora.
Ok, so the short film takes the definition of “short” here to heart and is only 2 minutes or so long (OpenAI has put a limit on how long vids can be).
However, this was all purely generated by AI. Every bit of it.
And to be honest, if this were an actual film, we’d be kinda down with it. Popcorn and all. I mean, you have to admit, a guy living with a balloon head is pretty interesting in its own right.
Why this all matters:
Once Sora hits the streets, the world of filmmaking and video creation is gonna get cranked up to 11, and we’re all getting front-row seats. Anyone and everyone will be able to create whatever their vision is at a fraction of the cost of traditional movies.
Now, will they all be good? Of course not. There’ll be some pretty rough films out there, no doubt. But watching the world create and witnessing imagination come to life will be absolutely beautiful to watch. Sign us up!
BONUS FILM:
This one was our second place runner up. It’s goofy as hell but arguably more interesting than most documentaries…
Robot Teaches Another Robot to Beat IKEA
Who knew… the ability to give and/or follow written or verbal instructions is one of the key skills we all take for granted.
Supposedly, performing a new task, without prior training, using verbal or written instructions is innately human.
And once we learn the task, we can then share it with others.
There’s a reason why teaching is one of the best forms of learning…
In order to teach something to someone else, you need to have a strong understanding of what you’re learning. Well I’ll be dipped, the same goes for AI.
Example Instructions: Simply drink from a bottle of water
Pick up the water bottle
Twist the lid counterclockwise to remove the lid
Set the lid aside
Raise the water bottle to your lips while keeping the bottle in an upright position
Tilt the bottom of the bottle upwards slowly until water reaches your lips
Slowly drink the water until satiated
Slowly lower the bottle until it is in an upright position again
Place the lid back on the bottle
Twist the lid clockwise until the lid is securely fastened on the bottle
Who knew there were 9 steps just to take a sip of water?!?
A bunch of nerds from the University of Geneva successfully modeled the first recording of an AI system learning something new then sharing it with a buddy (a clone of the same AI system).
Now that they can pass on knowledge, they’re ready to take on IKEA.
